Dave is a legendary figure now. One of the all time greats as a baseball manager. Platooning a team of hall of famers and rookies constantly. All the players he uses so well, drives up their trade value/free agency contracts and other teams just aren’t able to get the same mileage out of these players is testament to his baseball brain.

Dude is chiller than an ice cold modelo. Handles everything with patience and a sense of humor. What a great skipper.

I’m relatively new to baseball, it’s not big in my country. One thing I’ve noticed about Doc is he doesn’t do the tantruming thing you see other managers do so often. Maybe he has in the past, I don’t know, but I don’t remember ever seeing him go out and have a hissy fit at the umps. When was the last time he got ejected?

A think a big reason the Dodgers are so classy is because he brings that culture to the team. Well, with one exception, you can’t win them all.

Managing a team filled with big time free agents is more challenging than it appears. Managing a team with 4 different languages and dalton rushing is even harder. Dave’s easy going manner is what makes it look so easy. The players all buy into what he’s doing. His approach of platooning guys all season and bullpen games is what makes the dodgers so effective in the postseason. Every player knows how to win. Many players are ready to play different positions and roles.
