After a 17-year NBA career, Lou Williams announces he has retired from basketball. Williams is a three-time Sixth Man of the Year award winner and the NBA’s all-time leading bench scorer.
Gonna stop by Magic City and get some LouWill wings in his honor.
What a great run. Was he on a team this past season?
He was on the Hawks in 2021-22. I don’t think he was on a roster this season.
Kinda sad when players don’t get goodbye tours.
6 man like…
Two girls and they get along like…
Lou Will was a bucket. Will always remember the entertainment he brought me when he was a Lakers.
From the article on NBA.com:
Williams and Crawford are the only three-time recipients of the Sixth Man award in league history.
Williams was the 45th pick in the 2005 NBA draft. Out of the 60 players taken that year, only Chris Paul scored more points in the NBA than Williams.
He finishes his career with 15,593 points, 131st in NBA history.
