They say she is using ‘the climate movement to throw her support behind the Palestinians’. Well, good on her.

“Silence is complicity,” Thunberg added. “You cannot be neutral in a genocide.” She is right.

Greta did the climate movement a massive favor. Their words would have sounded very hollow if they decoupled other important issues. It would signal we only care about humanitarian catastrophes when they affect us.

I’m not sure this really applies here. She puts a lot of hard work and effort into spreading her message.

Her words are like Sophie Scholls, but I really wish a bit more consequential in the present time.

The machines working against her are just so vast.

When the state media of one of the biggest fossil fuel exporter in the world is cheering for you, you might want to reconsider what you are doing as a climate activist.

They can cheer for whomever they wish. What you do mean much more than what people think of you.

This article is mostly ‘cheering’ for Greta’s stance on Palestine rather than climate. Besides, it’s written by a Canadian journalist.

LOL, that’s like saying any positive article from PBS or CBC is bad given the US & Canada are even bigger oil producers

So what you want is that all a fossil fuel company needs to do to sabotage a climate movement is to endorse someone in it?
