“Ice agents are taking up positions at the entrances to Dodger Stadium, media and crowd beginning to arrive,” Takumi wrote.
Jack Harris, the Dodgers beat writer for the Los Angeles Times, said on X: “Regarding the photos going around on social media this morning about ICE agents at Dodger Stadium: sources say ICE agents tried to access Dodger Stadium today, but were denied entry to the grounds by the team.”"
Baseball in some ways is one of the better parts of US americana, what I consider to be the most " 'Murican" architecture I have ever been in isn’t any of the capitol buildings or historic monuments I have visited in the US or any museums, it is by far and away Fenway in Boston (The Red Sox’s stadium). My dad was heavy into baseball, I don’t feel that strongly about it but that building has given me goosebumps every time I have been in it.
Glad in this moment baseball didn’t choose to shit on that legacy (though a checkered legacy it is).
