What? Are you arguing without comprehending?
And what makes you think it’s easier to trace what is happening in SailfishOS? Tracing isn’t hard in Android.
Both ship: Firmware, the HAL components (which are way more critical in my eyes as they have low level hardware access and could hide anything from the OS)
Aren’t firmware and HAL in hardware/devices in the source tree for graphene? Also the camera stack/etc isn’t Google’s, it’s Graphene’s.
The Widevine comment is fair, but Sailfish needs to support DRM, too, so they’re in the same boat, there.
The base of Sailfish OS is a full blown Linux, way more open than Android
Sorry, but no. AOSP and Graphene do not use any proprietary blobs. They are 100% open.
By your own post, SailfishOS uses closed source components.
Krita is the way to go. Even has AI retouching add-on if you’re into that.

Or the Openscad workbench in FreeCAD if you like both. FOSS is grande.

Obligatory “Lenny’s best cat.”

I still don’t understand why others didnt start saying “If anyone is caught covering this up in the future, you will be prosecuted.” Seems a simple way to get someone to leak the facts.

Sketching 3D in FreeCAD.

It doesn’t actually seem that way. They’re likely eating the tariff because of the costs of hardware redesign, which I would imagine to cost millions and a lot of testing time.
If they’re getting a volume discount of 10%, then after tarrif each vehicle is probably cheaper than a whole refab.

I think it does not apply since the verified boot key is replaced.
This thread seems to back this theory up: https://discuss.grapheneos.org/d/444-how-do-i-unlock-the-bootloader-in-grapheneos/3
The GrapheneOS factory images flash a non-stock Android Verified Boot key which needs to be erased to fully revert back to a stock device state. Before flashing the stock factory images and before locking the bootloader, you should erase the custom Android Verified Boot key to untrust it
Would love if someone could fully confirm, though.

You could know. It’s only one click away.
Since the whole thing is AI, probably cost about 2 gallons of water and an hour of a fridge cooling.

I mean, my partner is an educated white woman Brit, and while we enjoy wine and beer, we partake in games a lot more often.

You must never read UnpopularOpinion 😀

Oh I didnt realize there was a fallback option, that’s great.

About as long as it took me to read this.
Seems your Lemmy host is having problems serving images.
Himilayan salt (from Pakistan) is not just salt, it’s pink because of the other minerals. The pink comes from iron, magnesium, and potassium.
