this is annoying to me because there are all sorts of things I have used spaces like tennis courts for that I would not want to reserve for. I have had dogs to do ball throwing excersise and off leash training. I have messe around with a sling. In both cases I would only use it if no one was otherwise using it and if someone showed up I would go. Its not something where reserving one court would work but was a way I could enjoy some of our park infrastructure that I otherwise would not use when it was not being utilized. I mean the tennis courts around me get use sometimes but often times no one is there. Im sure there are other oddball uses to having an eclosed outdoor caged area. The reservation thing is dumb unless the courts are so freakin popular they are always in use 5am to 9pm. Which I assume are the park hours. Ours are closed sundown to sunup which pretty much means if you are in them a cop can come by and tell you to leave but like plenty of folk have come out for star gazing but also you get people drinking or something.

honestly I feel the same about people just putting links or media into a post. I get it. Its me. I come here for communication. I want to know at the very least why you felt something was important enough to post. Why did they like it. Why I should like it. Does it have meaning to them. Is it just a laugh. etc. I kinda wish I could block all posts that did not have about as much body as you have up there.

the problem is they don’t call the police. they call 911. in a sudden emergency where you don’t have time to look up an approriate help thing you call 911. there is 311 but they are just geared for information and are not ready to send somone right away. This is why so many cities are looking to replace many police calls with people trained to be interveners. The defund the police thing gets some people hot under the collar but most people who really know get that its more about shifting some of their work and funding to an agency that is better setup to handle non criminal matters.

Im starting to wonder if all those wars were useful to suck up violent people. Maybe the military should have had weak reqs with just willing to kill as the main one. Then for advancement have the real reqs

I can see this a bit except for the “without checking their reasoning or reasons carefully yourself”. Certainly no one should reinvent the wheel and one should be aware of how limited thier knowledge is in a field but things need to be logical to oneself in their actions. I recognize that when I lack the necessary knowldge then expert advice is the way to go but generally there are multiple experts and if they disagree you have to choose which expert to go with. This goes into credentials and societys and such around the field since nowadays many things have so called experts. Further when you have an expert you believe is valid and get their opinion and it does not make logical sense to you it makes sense to ask them about how it appears wierd to you and for them to help explain it to a leve where you can see the logic. There is an efficiency cost to all of this. The richer one gets and the more money ones time is worth the more one needs to offload things to the best experts you can. I really don’t have much of that problem though.

this was kinda a funny thing. republicans have been very anti immigrant with a mindset they are a liberal base but unless they are from other european type countries or highly educated they are often very conservative.

I came because I would like to know to. Im not so sure about the ceramic steel as I found the ceramic coatings lose faster than teflon. Im not sure what you mean by no stick with stainless or cat iron as they are not no stick but cast iron with enough oil should do well enough. True non stick should let you cook without fat and not stick. Which you know. It does until it gets the slightest microabrasion.

I don’t use satnav. I get a map route and use it as general guide of where to go. I use llms much but honestly mostly to evaluate their capabilities to see if they will start being useful to use. Of course I don’t really use smartphones either. From what people are saying I kinda wonder if there are folks on llms all the time on their phone.
