  • Isn’t Android open source? I like Linux, but I alternate being amazed by Linux and frustrated by how buggy the experience is. Everything on my Android phone / tablet just works effortlessly. But with Linux, it is a crap shoot. My Linux audio drivers kept popping my speakers and it took me hours to figure out the bug. Then when I run wine for a game it randomly thinks it doesn’t have enough storage space. Or how Chrome was having memory leaks. Or all the times I have had to use special bash commands or directly edit configuration files

  • There’s a lot more than the 3 listed above, the ones I listed are militant in their belief that Russia and China are Marxist-Leninist utopias.

    1. Hexbear hates Russia. They call Putin a fascist dictator / capitalist all the time.

    2. No one on Hexbear calls Russia or China a Marxist utopia. Pointing out that the CCP is using their power to build highspeed rail, nuclear energy, tons of public housing, and huge solar projects might seem like glazing, but I think those projects are worthy of praise. If the US built 40000km of highspeed rail, entire cities of public housing, tons of clean nuclear power plants, etc then I would be overjoyed to praise my country for doing something good.

    3. Supporting genocide is true tankieism. Anyone who isn’t critical of the US’s funding of genocide or the military industrial complex are the true tankies.

  • I am not sure I agree that the old rule was replaced. Before, the oligarchs ruled from the shadows by controlling political campaign finances and lobbyists. But now, the oligarchs are so powerful they are ruling directly. The country is still heading in the same direction (relentless growth of power disparity between the rich and power) just at a quicker pace.

FDR was the last US president that fought for the working class. Every President since Reagan has overseen policies that have weakened the working class and transfered power to the rich. Republicans were far more aggressive about it, but liberals still did it at a slower rate.
