It’s so funny to see how macbooks are either super durable, or die from the smallest dust particles. My dad’s macbook fell down 3 flights of stairs, and embedded itself into the wood floor boards at the bottom floor. There’s not even a scratch on it even though if fell from pretty high up.
And my mother’s macbook dies every year because dust ends up in between the display cable which then punctures it when the lid is closed
I wouldn’t say my hostnames are very creative, but they all have some kind of backstory.
Main desktop: POwOful
It’s a pretty powerful desktop, so why not call it that :)
Laptop: LenOwO
Can you guess the laptop brand?
Server 1: Shitbox
It’s my first server box I ever built, so it’s underpowered and pretty shitty.
Server 2: Stowage
My proper server with actual data parity, and it’s pretty powerful
Server 3: Jank
This one is another shitmix of hardware with random harddrives in raid 0. I am aware that they’ll die at some point, and all of that data stored on it will be lost, so i use it as temporary storage whenever I need to copy something from one machine to another.
Robot vacuum: suckywucky
Yea…
It’s peak 2025 computer humor too. It’s great!
They should’ve written “push me harder~” on the label
About 3 years ago, I was looking for emeralds at a closed emerald mine when I had the brilliant idea of hitting a random rock with my pickaxe. Turns out the rock was harder than the pickaxe, so a piece of the metal broke off and flew into my finger. I was 10s of hours away from any hospitals, and the metal curved around the bone of my finger, so I had to take my dad’s camping knife and cut the thing out. This was at a camping spot, so I had running water, but it wasn’t easy.
Aren’t pretty much all storefronts searchable, or is it a Europe thing?
I shop primarily local and find stores with ddg/Google/Google maps. I live in a country where Amazon doesn’t exist, and shipping takes at least 3-7 days, so I’ve always bought stuff from local stores. Of course not everything is sold in a physical store, for which you’ll probably have to use ebay.
I keep forgetting that some people need vpns to torrent.
Whoa that’s a super nice way of telling the user how different parts of the drier should sound. A+++ for this execution. I can see that they take right to repair pretty seriously (at least for diagnostics)
I can’t belive how this is a screenshot from Facebook containing another screenshot from Twitter. How much deeper can we go?
I love how it has taken this long for media to cover this issue. I thought this was common knowledge for about a decade
