Well I knocked the side of it with the hammer, obviously. I was convinced that the outer ring that is recommended to tap was actually part of the base (5-armed structure that holds the bottom of the gas lift) and soldered to the arms - but inspecting it again carefully I relaize that it’s not: the bottom of the gas lift is in fact sticking out through the hole

However, after working on that with a hammer as recommended it still won’t budge (I used a piece of wood instead of cloth this time - and it broke multiple times 😂) So instead of the piece of wood displacing the gas lift, the latter left prints on the former. Oh and I also sprayed WD40 in there before…

I think when buying new ones, you’d only have to make sure they’re built at least for your weight - and then some, to avoid the same thing happening again. Maybe don’t skimp and make sure you get quality. To make sure you can use them, a) see my previous comment and b) get precise measurements!

I just posted a problem with the gas lift in my office chair and happened to see your post. It appears in my case, that gas lift is never coming out of its sockets again, I have tried a number of different ways. It’s so precisely fitted into these openings, it’s not moving the slightest fraction of a mm. So if you decide to replace those gas lifts, before ordering I highly recommend you first try a couple to see if you’re able to remove them at all - it might simply not work, and you could be stuck with these like I am

The fact that they are two completely different words, accidentally spelled the same, is the solution to this riddle. Okay, I get it now, and it is, in fact, a) a bad joke because it only sort of works if you pronounce “sauna” wrong (or if you think sauna is pronounced exactly like sana) and b) badly delivered because the punch line is separate from the joke, making it seem like an added comment, without which the joke would also work (but it doesn’t). The translation what corpore sano means is completely superfluous, it doesn’t contribute to the joke and thus only misleads the audience about what could be the funny part. Explaining is not what made it bad, it was bad from the start

Yes it is hard - because the only AI most people have ever “witnessed” and been aware of “this is called AI” is LLMs and image generating. For a horryfying number of people, “AI” is only these two things. By the same mechanism, usage of the term in media says “AI” 90% of the times when it really means just LLMs. We would have to explicitly specify all the time, and people just can’t be arsed
