My thoughts exactly. Perhaps a side benefit of blaming Ukraine for high prices to deflect blame away from Israel’s genocidal ambitions in the ME.
I dunno, Trump’s a true idiot, most of what he does makes no sense.

+1 for ntfy it’s great. I’m using their free servers though and it just routes my curl’d alerts to the phone app. Will have to look into self hosting it that sounds neat, love that you repurposed an old phone for that.

Yeah, and so could Papa New Guinea. Turns out you can say any kind of random bullshit.
Proud of you fellow lemming!

lol yeah dude the shoe throwing incident will forever be hilarious. and you’ve gotta hand it to Dubya, at least he was spry enough to see it coming and duck out of the way in time.

Dubya was supposed to be the dumbest president ever. Trump is so much worse, and happened so quickly after W’s term. It’s a bit shocking until you realize who actually wields the levers of power in American government: the rich/corporations. They control it all, including for whom we get to “vote” in the first place. POTUS being a useful idiot is quite beneficial for them.

Republicans, famously opposed to corrupt grifting such as insider trading…
lol

Bibi said no, simple as.

“Option” - lmao, already providing themselves cover to do nothing. Dems are so beyond pathetic.
Dems are turning what should have been a blue tsunami this year into a tepid blue wave with all the left-bashing they’re engaged in, and this is in the face of a pure and unadulterated fascist regime. They’re totally clueless on how to meet this moment.
By the time they’re done doing worse than jack shit over the next 2 years, Repugs will be back to winning elections.
The 2 party system and the delusion of checks and balances have failed this country beyond reason. Those who claim to represent us are torn between doing the bidding of oligarchs, or foreign countries’ governments, while our people are left suffering and robbed of our very dignity.
Well and truly disgustipated.

One does not simply declare bankruptcy 6 times by “learning how to run a business” sweaty

Private equity attempting to capture profits. Much harder to do with renewables.

Get a load of this guy, can’t even make NY housing affordable inside a year!

Probably doing work for Israel, Netanyahu is wanted for war crimes by the ICC after all.

Biden was the senator who authored, sponsored, and loudly endorsed the 2005 BAPCPA legislation, which prevents student loan borrowers from declaring bankruptcy over their crushing debt. Hot on the heels of GWB removing the tuition increase caps for state universities. Senator Biden of Delaware was literally “their guy” - meaning the student loan lenders and accompanying financial institutions.
So no, he was doing his job by ensuring the debt forgiveness did not succeed. Or if it did, that 95% of recipients would be means tested out of it. This complements his job as a centrist corporate ghoul - to trick people into believing the democrats would do something to meaningfully improve their lives, if only those pesky republicans would let them.

If it’s still possible for voting to work, we have to get rid of all the establishment corpo-critters, the ones taking money from AIPAC, etc. Many leftist social dems are winning primaries, get them in office this November and maybe we can stem the tide. Maybe.

As was the plan all along for an establishment ghoul

Patriot Act coming home to roost. Right to privacy has been getting rinsed for 25 years now.
Late stage capitalism

This is why I think reforming the Democrats is a lost cause. They would rather torpedo the entire thing than give an actual leftist one iota of power.
El-Sayed / Hasan manufactured controversy playing out right now is a perfect example of what this looks like.
You know, I was curious about this and ran the numbers. You’re absolutely correct.
The initial 3 shipments he’s talking about are 1.8mil tons, assuming short tons which is the US value, that’s equivalent to 518.5 million gallons of diesel fuel. According to eia.gov, the US consumed approximately 123 million gallons of diesel per day in 2025.
So, he’s literally talking about enough diesel to get us by for about a week. Not sure it will have much effect, if it’s even going to happen.
