especially w royals involved. lol

it’s missing the billionaires tied to the track on the socialist track. lol
your system is blocking a public university’s website and describing it as malicious – you have more immediate problems to fix.
this MUST be the most accurate representation of horseshoe theory! lol
doesn’t sddm need to run as root? i thought that all managers did.
I was looking at the System76 Lemur Pro, but I can’t seem to find any reviews on the newer models. Build quality and performance is really important to me as my daily driver for the last several years has been a MBP14 with an M1 Pro.
i’ve had a galago pro and the build quality on system76 seems to be better than average, but well below the competition at their price points – they are all clevo/tongfeng rebadges.
however the build quality on the ultra high end models does mirror the build quality and this probably matters to you since you’re considering framework, which also has a high price point.
system76 makes sense if you’re doing for the support as well as the capabilities like the ones you’re looking for (coreboot mattered for me back then) and my experience was overall positive w them; but i learned recently that their support made things so easy for me that it made my linux skills get antiquated.
you lol, but that seems to be the direction most are headed towards – a big binary black box, but it’s okay because it’s signed.
does the link not work for you somehow?
EDIT: maybe you’re asking for an easier to understand version and the best i can do is this ai summary:
This dissertation, completed by Benjamin Thomason at Bowling Green State University in 2024, critically examines the role of US “democracy promotion” as a tool of empire, focusing on the National Endowment for Democracy (NED) and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
Core Argument: Drawing on a critical Gramscian Marxist perspective, the author argues that the NED and USAID function as “engines of intellectual warfare” in US foreign intervention. They mobilize communications and organizational resources to reinforce elite hegemonic narratives, thereby facilitating neoliberal and neoconservative US foreign policy objectives abroad.
Methodology & Historical Context: The study traces how covert Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) media and civil society operations during the Cold War evolved into the institutionalized, “pseudo-overt” democracy promotion apparatus that served as a pretext and method for US interventionism after the Cold War.
Case Studies: To support its thesis, the dissertation examines several major US interventions since 1983, including:
The Contra War in 1980s Nicaragua
Operation Cyclone in 1980s Afghanistan
The 2000 overthrow of Slobodan Milošević in Yugoslavia
The 2002 coup against Hugo Chávez in Venezuela
The 2004 coup against Jean-Bertrand Aristide in Haiti
The 2014 Euromaidan events in Ukraine
Syria Focus: A dedicated chapter analyzes the US-led intervention in the Syrian Civil War from 2011. It details how USAID provided monetary, media, and civil society support to what the author characterizes as primarily sectarian, theocratic, and Salafi rebel groups opposing the Ba’athist government, demonstrating the “moderate rebel industry” and narrative-control infrastructure.
russia’s propaganda game is bush league compared to the americans. you should see the amaze-balls industrial, world-wide scale of how the americans get their propaganda laundered through ngo’s like usaid and national endowment for democracy and then doles out in tiny pieces like dog pills in a dog treats on media platforms like reddit, facebook, wikipedia, cnn, npr, fox new, cbc, abc, bbc, le monde, der speigel, etc.
here’s the stanford/bowling-green detail of it: https://etd.ohiolink.edu/acprod/odb_etd/r/etd/search/10?p10_accession_num=bgsu1711480290212777&clear=10&session=112965025945105

they think that they can make a deal w the devil and get away w it.

don’t be silly!!!
nothing happened in china besides tinyman square! /s

at the very least, they’re being identified and recognized.

i wasn’t *UG groups were still a thing – is the local LUG not as popular too?

My company is changing to Openstack (a good decision even in a vacuum), all they needed was a little motivation to actually do it. I’m sure any company with a few competent engineers and a few managers that can look beyond the next quarter will do the same.
i wish mine would – we spend SO MUCH on vmware but i fear that the dearth of technical prowess in my org is going to make us keep paying broadcomm in perpetuity and we really shouldn’t since we’re a shoestring budget non-profit that serves the community.

and we must bomb them to protect the lgbtqia+, poc and neurospicey and block food/medicine from coming in so that they’ll join our side. lol

and still crazy show most of the time nonethless somehow.
me too – the medication is MUCH cheaper over there and there’s no insurance to block access to anything! lol
They’ve already made their profit and will be long gone by the time that bill is due.
