Gintama.
Took me a while to realize the whole post-war samurai living in an era of peace premise was just Kenshin but with aliens.
That’s nice not everyone payed that close attention, they got sold a car and are now stuck with a shitty reputation by association. Some people are afraid to drive their car because they’ll get harassed by people who can only see telsa driver = musk supporter.
You could blame the buyers for their ignorance, but its pretty normal to have no clue who the CEO/owner is of whatever car brand you buy. How many can name 1 beside Musk or Henry Ford?
Lol, a lot of rich people are rich assholes, that’s nothing new. Think Bezos is saint, how about that one CEO who made people go to work during a flood, did you like Brain Thompson, Ulf Mark Schneider - do you even know who that is?or back in the day when they used to lock workers in the factory or shove children in the mines.
The rich have always been assholes, Musk is just more public about it. 5 years ago, he was just another rich owner of a company. The company made something good, so people bought it in support of the product not specifically the owner and his values, just like every time someone buys a nestle product.
Well, being financially stupid doesn’t mean you’re also a “limp dicked piss baby champagne socialist.”
It don’t matter how they got the car. They could have saved up for years, have been cutting costs elsewhere in life, or just have a well paying job; buying a car at 40k+ and selling it for 20k, especially if they still have 30k left on the loan is a dumb move even for the financially illiterate.
Must be nice not having business owners literally hanging out in the executive office all the time.
Not everyone is the position to sell their car, especially at huge finacial loss. So they buy the stupid sticker to make them selves feel a little better.
Many bought the thing 5+ years ago when Tesla was basically the only electric with a real charging network and in a time before Musk went from eccentric billionaire to an out-of-the-closet Nazi.
Now anyone buying one new today, that’s a different story (Which makes it harder to sell the damn thing).
Yup, modern security at its finest. Normie’s don’t stand a chance.
I wish email clients would do something similar, especially for Formatted links.
Open up a big popup that shows the full sender address, the full link, and underline/color any numbers so its clear AMAZ0N.com is b.s.
Find yourself a QR scanner that gives you a preview of what the code is before sending you to the open web.
I like this one, found it on F-droid. “QR Scanner (PFA)” https://github.com/SecUSo/privacy-friendly-qr-scanner
For example, the QR code sirico@feddit.uk posted (it can scan from a saved picture too) shows me this;
all I ever got was jeans for my beans
Missed the step towards the end were you have to switch browser and restart the whole process because “Firefox not supported” or you’ve an extension that’s a bit overzealous on blocking the checkout popup window.
In other words, harassment is a universal experience for service workers. It just comes in different forms.
Well, those online copy’s either originate from someone sharing their backed up collection or a camera pointed at the TV.
Yeah, and last I heard (a few years ago) anything running apple M# chips is not jailbreakable.
That’s the whole point, to force iPhone to also have freedom.
Android is becoming less free every year; the more Apple gets away with, the closer Android/Google will drift towards it.
“iPhone vs Android” is the wrong battle
It’s “Us & Gov. vs Apple & Google & Gov”
The storage prices are insane. It’s over 9 thousand to get the model with 512GB RAM, and it still only has 1TB of probably non removable internal storage.
2TB is +$400 4TB is +$1000 8TB is +$2200 16TB + $4600
They’re saying 8TB is worth more than the entire base model Mac Studio at 2k.
For those prices I expect a RAID 5 or 6 system built in, god knows they have the processor for it.
Does it still interact funny with the phone screen lock? When it first came out, I vaguely remember something about disabling the phone lock, and using KLCK’s built in phone “lock”? It was basically a skin over the home screen. This was years ago, so the details have been forgotten.
Plus finger print is so fast I barely see the screen anyways. Although having improved notification info would be nice.
I love KLWP, but the security implications of KWLC were concerning at the time.
And when it tries to hide, Process Explorer will hunt it down.
Jokes on you, the inbox just auto-deletes everything.
Filters or buy water by the gallon. You’ll have to actually talk to your neighbors, no one here can know for sure (unless your neighbor is here too).
They’re doing one 1 of four things:
