A bill to add a carving of President Donald Trumpto Mount Rushmore has been introduced by a MAGA politician.
Florida Representative Anna Paulina Luna announced the bill Tuesday calling for Trump to be added to the South Dakota monument with the message: “Let’s get carving.”
It would be vandalized very quickly, which could be a nice outlet for a lot of people.
With time it would probably turn orange from all the piss too.
As much as I like the thought, I’ve been to Mt. Rushmore and I don’t think vandalizing it would be easily achieved. Maybe with a drone or paintball gun - the first time - after that I think they’d be prepared. There is national parks apparatus surrounding it IIRC.
You think they’re gonna not defund the National parks service? They’re basically the “don’t ruin nature” police, and the people in charge now don’t fucking care about nature.
Conversely, do you think they’re going to let people fire RPGs at it?
Plus it’s in South Dakota. Security by obscurity.
Also Security by bigotry, which I am not sure works that well since you always end up just hiring the badguys and empowering them instead of protecting people from them.

A carving of Trumps face is hardly a national monument anymore than a statue of Lenin or Saddam Hussein was.
Putting the face of a living and sitting president is bad enough, the fact that its him. thats already gross vandalism
