Q can make a chair that is continuously growing for eternity, he could make a chair the size of the universe. Riker is limited by his physical height of 7ft 4, so all he has to do is make a 9ft tall chair, even if Riker is flexible enough to get his leg vertical he still wouldn’t be able to do it.

Unless… Riker specifically maintained just enough Q power to counteract this, his one and only weakness, at the end of Hide and Q.

If Riker had kept some of the Q powers and knew he had them, then he’s a prick, he could have solved a lot of their problems with even a 10th of Q’s power, but even then, his power would be dramatically lower that Q’s, so Q could still create a chair that Riker can’t get a leg over.

See I was thinking he retained an infinite level of power, but only within the incredibly small domain of being able to finagle over any chair, physics be damned.

Q could still create a chair that he couldn’t put a leg over, even if physics be damned, because Rikers powers are solely leg over chair, Q has an infinite amount of things he can do with his powers, he could recreate the universe to grow the chair the microsecond his leg starts to reach the top so he couldn’t do it, he could stop him at the quantum level, there’s absolutely no way Riker could one up Q, even when Riker had full power, Q still had control.
