Forest management is a bit hit and miss in the UK but as a general rule our woods (native deciduous and spruce/fir factory farms) tend to not flame up that as often - at the moment. It’s more the kinda scrubland (flat or hilly) that we have a problem with.
A lot of it is kids (and the odd braindead adult) dicking around with lighters.
Wow. That is crazy looking. I haven’t been to the UK in a couple of decades, but damn. I guess a good time to clean out and dredge canals.
They’ll probably be able to sweep them if this goes on for another month or two.
Shouldn’t they instead be raking the forests like they do in Finland to prevent forest fires?
