As expected, Google Assistant is going away in 2026, and the company just provided a September 4 date for Android phones.

I have a strong feeling that Gemini won’t be optional. It will be running on your phone and going through the contents whether you use it or not.

  There is no Gemini on my Pixel. It runs GrapheneOS.

    That’s where I’m headed as well, I just wish the Moto phones with Graphene would come out.
