Chinese ships have had no issue getting to and from Cuba - why don’t they just set up chinese made solar and wind?
That’s not to shift any blame away from USA - but at some point you know you’re not getting oil through their blockade but container ships get through fine, they’re only hurting themselves and the planet by so stubbornly sticking to oil.

They are, China has donated many thousands of solar panels to Cuba. The primary issue is with energy storage, and building out the infrastructure to support it, but these problems are solvable in time. Cuba’s quest for soveriengty is tied to solar, because you cannot blockade the sun.

A big part of the country’s clean energy push is an agreement with China to open 92 solar parks across the country by 2028, projected to bring a total of 2 gigawatts of solar power online, enough to power more than 1.5 million homes.
So it looks like there’s a light at the end of the tunnel but people are sadly gonna have to endure hardship a while longer
