The NHL is rolling out a series of short stories on audiobook platforms throughout the season that present real-life NHL storylines in the style of romance novels.
But why would you not simply watch women’s hockey instead, which absolutely has romance subplots?
The stories put out by the NHL won’t feature any actual romance between real-life NHL players. The presentation, however, winks at the genre. The first two installments, “Jack of Hearts” and “The Storm Between Us,” feature Golden Knights C Jack Eichel and Hurricanes C Sebastian Aho, respectively.
No checking is usually why, seems slower paced. Side note, Boston changing from the Pride (of lions) that matches with the Bruin to the Fleet was a dumb move and they should change it back.
This is the first time I’ve encountered the idea that checking is a form of romance, but color me interested
I was more referring to the much lower viewership but that heated rivalry show got rave reviews so why not make a season in the PWHL
Ah yes, hockey culture, absolutely brimming with hopeless romantics.
