Wake Forest, the No. 1 national seed, won its opener at the Men's College World Series Saturday, when Danny Corona hit a go-ahead two-run single in the eighth inning en route to a 3-2 Demon Deacons' victory over the Stanford Cardinal in Omaha, Nebraska.
