    I’d go with the itch. In the 1 out of 1 cases I know of where someone had chronic hiccups, they ended up going to jail for murder.

    Suicide will be easier with just an itch.

    Edit: Wait, no! We have euthanasia here. Hiccups so I can get medical sign-off.

    The itch would bother me more, but the hiccups would bother other people more. I’m not sure which I would choose.

    The itch would be impossible to prove and I’d just be seen as a grumpy asshole, at least the hiccups can be understood

    I get chiggers at my camp about every weekend in the summer, no matter how much bug spray. One itch would be a relief.

    Scratching an itch feels good even when it doesn’t actually go away. I’ll take that over hiccups since they’re nothing but downside.
