It’s older than that. The classical liberals all believed this shit. In fact John locke, Stuart Mills, Voltaire etc were all racist as shit and owned shares in the British East India Company or outright owned people. Their refrain in India was protecting the women from the “savages” there. Probably the same “reasons” they used for colonizing Africa, China, Southeast Asia, etc… none of this is new.

I’m not gonna lie, no idea why I commented that. I don’t support what’s happening in Gaza, nor do I sympathize with Netanyahu. I don’t want to be an asshole (but I was) and thanks for calling me out. Apologies to everyone. I’ll leave the comment up unless people think I should take it down. Again, I’m sorry for the comment and the attack.
