Over 3 months after launch – LineageOS – the biggest and most well-known third party ROM now officially supports the entire Pixel 9 series.

I’m extremely frustrated by lineageOS only supporting SOME (could easily say the minority) version of the phones they describe as supported.

I wanted to give my old S8 a new life… Well the European version doesn’t seem to be supported…

Is there a rom focused on desktop experience?

Have you read about Google’s wip desktop mode? It looks amazing.

I remember a fad some years ago when androind 4 or 5 was around and the market was pushing “hybrid” phones and tablets that also had a desktop mode like they do “foldable” stuff now.

If you want a Google desktop why not get just a chromebook?

I want to test the concept of one device able to do most of what I need.

I wish there was a rom not super focused on Pixel devices (or have devices variety)

Grapheneos is a rom that only officially supports pixel devices.
