Ok so this is a technological question & since we are on lemmy (AKA FediVerse).
Are there any NSFW Peertube instances ? I feel like we NEED those, cuz why not, we have an NSFW lemmy instance right.
i agree with you. still looking but i haven’t been able to find an instance though. I’ve only found one uploader who posted their porn library (entirely focused on one very very specific fetish).
i think one reason its hard to find within peertube is that SFW hosting providers have different rules and cost than NSFW ones.
NSFW automatically attracts more traffic which means higher server costs, which usually means it needs to pay for itself, in other words, ads.
i think showing ads would be kind of against the principles of the fediverse.
there is a lot more nsfw on mastodon and misskey. and of course Lemmy probably has the most.

or at least, maybe some porn sites could use peertube software (cuz free!) and federate with each other (they would probably be owned by the same person/company since porn sites seem to copy/steal from each other often, so not too friendly).
maybe lemmynsfw.com would federate with them, probably not many other instances would.
Be the change you want to see and host one yourself.
You should know that hosting NSFW content is likely to attract activist, legal and law enforcement attention in short order, so when you’re putting together a business case, you should take associated costs into account for budget and freedom purposes, not to mention astronomical fees associated with hosting and streaming video.
So … have at it.
Let us know when it’s ready and I’m sure you’ll get plenty of takers in a very short time. Hopefully you’ll have enough infrastructure so it doesn’t fall over when the first wave hits.

You don’t have to be so passive-aggresive mister/miss. I remember finding one (NSFW peertube) but now I can’t find it, also. Since you were gracious enough to tell me to host one in such a passive-aggressive tone, please give money & teach/show me to self-host one.
Maybe tone it down a notch, op is not wrong in anything said. You don’t need to thank him, but the attitude isn’t needed either.

Can you point out the part where I disagreed ? It’s hard to speak in a normal tone for that guy/girl when HE/SHE comes in with a passive-aggressive tone. Apparently you also like to act like smug & rude. This is not reddit,
& I asked for an instance that was already made.
Hmm I don’t remember seeing one. There are definitely some that allow casual or artistic nudity but I don’t know of any that allow sexual content.
