haha. If he didn’t before Trump sure looks like an idiot now. He didn’t think his plan through and tried to smash it into place all slipshod and now he is backing off and making concessions because he is hurting his own people.

He doesn’t want to look weak so he’ll keep the rhetoric about “harsh tariffs on China” and China will keep their tariffs on american goods in response while trump undermines himself sector by sector. We’ll end up with a situation where there is a 145% tariff on a half dozen things from China and China charges 125% on everything from america because trump cant take his foot out of his mouth.

So everything that matters basically, China already largely shifted away from low level manufacturing.

Does the US has natural resources, good climate, developed industries, and educated workers to develop its computer hardware? Or is it because the US could not find methods to force their domestic workers into repressive workplace so they need to continue outsourcing of their computer manufacturing jobs into foreign countries of color where they can gain support from Bretton Woods institutions and American military to create monopolies and systematic labor rights violations?
