    This is such a bad idea. Don’t trust any technology to be safe. I guess they’re banking on other countries picking up the slack, but we’re all going to get hacked now. A lot.

    Whilst this is truly insane, the IT and cyber industry is strong enough that surely another country will step in to start supporting this or a similar initiative.

    It’s sad what the US is doing but it gives me some hope that a more stable country will pick these pieces up.

    Makes sense that Trump would have the same opinion about security as Apple. Just say everything is “100% secure” and deny otherwise.

    After all, there are no security holes if none are documented, right?
