Nobody’s asked me directions in at least ten years. And the last guy that did, spoke only French. He drove around Germany without a map or navigation system and asked random people in a language they were unlikely to understand. I bet he complained about how uncultured those Germans are, when he got home.
Do you also speak french? If not, that’s a lot of assumptions for a person you just briefly met.
