A few years ago I read a book where a group of friends kidnapped strangers to hunt them down. It was a yearly (?) event for them. They went to a cabin and released the victims into the woods. After a given time they started stalking them. It was set in the US. They basically pretended to be just old school friends having a traditonal reunion weekend in their cabin.

I could have sweared it was just called “Hunting Season.” However, I do not find it under this name. Same goes for “Killing Season.”

If I recall correctly, the book was released in the 70s, maybe the 80s.

Is anyone of you able to identify that book?
