Architect/vigilante Paul Kersey arrives back in New York City and is forcibly recruited by a crooked police chief to fight street crime caused by a large gang terrorizing the neighborhoods.

Now go play the game from 1987 where you are the sole vigalante taking down endless waves of violent thugs robbing old ladies with whatever automatic weapons and shotguns and bazooka (!) you find laying around. The city is handsomely equipped with medical personnel in white coats busy taking away the corpses as soon they hit the ground. The cops are chasing you too and the only bystanders are plentiful of ladies of the night.
It is a prime translation of sleazy exploitation b-movies into an action computer game.

Legitimately one of the most entertaining action flicks I’ve ever seen.
Charles Bronson is just straight up a murder hobo and the last 20% of the movie is COMPLETELY off the rails.
Watch it drunk with friends. It’s great.
Death Wish 1 and 2 were sensationalistic, but at least they tried to tell a story about a normal guy who was just pushed too far and had to resort to violence. They were controversial but that was the point.
Death Wish 3 was where the producers started saying: We need money! Do whatever it takes! Just make the movie happen!
