What does “years worth of” mean here? I’d assume this is the standard pattern of weapon use. They’d be sitting in stockpiles in times of “peace” and usage would surge during “war”. It’s not like they were planning on microdosing on tomahawks over several years.
Also lol at the suggestion that Congress would need to be “engaged” to shower the military with money. Have fun playing politicians you dipshits.
I think the key part is that it’s completely unsustainable. Their inventory was already low because Ukraine was eating them up faster than they could replenish for 4 years now. And all of a sudden the US starts a direct high intensity conflict with Iran. Having to pull THAADs from occupied Korea seems like the clearest indication that there are genuine shortages. And that’s just after a couple of weeks of this.
