That’s probably multiple phone lines. Verizon is a mobile carrier as well as an ISP.

My phone bill is also around $200, but I’m paying for 6 lines of service.

My internet bill is $210… Includes three cell phones on unlimited plans so I guess it’s really more like $70, maybe op is in a similar situation.

I bought my phone outright because I don’t want to give it back, I’d rather it just be my phone and when I’m done with it, it will live in the box with it’s brethren of the past 20 years.

For a while my phone/internet was a bit cheaper… Then T-Mobile decided autopay on a credit card no longer qualifies as autopay (for a discount) despite texting me each month to say my autopay went through.

Verizon and AT&T are some of the worst services for deals, but they are the most popular here so most people don’t bother looking for anything else. I got my parents on google fi and they got 2 new phones for free (i think pixel 8) and costs them $50 per month for the 2, not unlimited but they dont use much since they use home wifi for 90% of the use and if they do go over the limit its just $10 more that month.

I’ve had AT&T fiber running across the street in my neighborhood for years but they weren’t able to connect anyone on my side. T-Mobile fiber came through earlier this year though so now I’m getting 1gig up/down for $70. I was worried about stupid CGNat shit but I haven’t had any issues with routing and having a decent upload speed makes it so much nicer when I do have to remote into my house or pull a large file when I’m away.
