I’m an IT guy, I have worked in IT support since 2007. I have never ever ever needed AI for a single second in my job and seeing people use AI just annoys me.

I’m 37, I’ve been in IT support for 15-17 years. I have used AI about 6 times.

First time: I told Chat GPT to be sarcastic and snarky with me then drunkenly argued with it for 15 mins.

Second time: I got chat GPT to recommend me power metal bands based on the list of bands I told it I liked… It gave me 20+ and only two were any good.

Times three to six: using my companies forced Microsoft Copilot, It made me some ASCII pictures of ducks then refused to sing The Simpsons song where Troy McClure is in planet of the apes and I started with “I hate every ape I see from Chmpan-A to Chimpanzee” because “noo not copyrighted music” Finally it ruined a Futurama quote when I said to it “Have the boy lay out my formal shorts”.

I was told today copilot needs me to go into it’s settings and tell it what I want.

I will probably go into that next week and say “I just want to quote the Simpsons and Futurama, don’t correct my spelling or punctuation just quote it back to me”

Reminds me of that experiment some guy did and dressed up in Mexican attire and Americans were all saying how offensive it was.

Then he went to Mexico and asked old Mexican men and they all shrugged and couldn’t have been less offended by him.

My favourite part about all these memes is that Gen X get excluded. They’re just as screwed over by baby boomers but they’re at least 60% as elitist as baby boomers.

Gen X are convinced of their superiority but how can those currently 50 year Olds tell us millennials we’re lazy and entitled while still bragging about how they all fought against the machine and how brilliant they are.

Yes yes Gen X you are still totally fighting the machine as you crush everyone under 50 for not following the rules.

Yes I am that old. I am so old that when I was a kid my first PC was running DOS with windows 3.1. Granted it was because my parents couldn’t afford a brand new PC with Windows 95.

So at 5-6 years old I was typing “CD JAZZ enter JAZZ” to open The shareware Jazz Jackrabbit.

My first real console was the PS1 at eight years old and I used the plugs in that picture.

As someone who has hating doing IT support for printers for the last 18 years… This hurts me a little bit mentally.

I’m sure there’s some other comic in the same aspect that involves Microsoft Excel that I have hated since 2003… (When I was doing a year 9 highschool assignment)

The only thing I found is that you need to install a video player, an image viewer and other minor things that don’t get included on the OS.

Upside is you don’t get all the normal windows bloatware, and you choose when to update not the computer shutting down for an update when it feels like it.

My work laptop is a touch screen, The only time I’ve used it is when I accidentally brushed the corner of the screen reaching passed and closed the window I was working on.

I only moved off 7 about 18 months ago. Check out W10 LTSC IoT It’s much nicer than regular W10 and it’s supported until 2032

I assumed part of the reason Hillary lost (I said “part”) was because all the media was talking non-stop about how she was going to demolish Trump with ease and it was all a hilarious joke that Trump even thought he had a chance. That much media coverage basically told so the Democrat voters to not bother going to vote because Hillary had it in the bag.

Kamala seems like a highly intelligent woman who just wanted the best for your country, as far as I can tell she would have made your lives better.

I will never ever buy a $100 game digitally. Years ago when I bought overlord, overlords DLC and overlord 2 all for $5 and I got 40+ hours out of it… That was 10 years ago… If that is taken away from me then I’ll be annoyed but I won’t want to burn down the entire industry.

Rockstar a few years ago created a terrible remaster of GTA3, GTA VC and GTA SA and they wanted to exterminate the original PS2 versions.

I’m Happy the digital versions but I still have all of the PS2 discs in a box somewhere.

GTA VI is releasing soon with no disc… Enjoy! No disc… And no Lazlow… I’ve got plenty of other games on discs I can play.

Which is really depressing as the only time I buy digital is when the games are 60% off or more.

Yeah I read a lot about what happened to Bernie Sanders, absolutely wild and really depressing what the DNC did to him.

Seriously up until I got the message that Trump had become president and Hillary had lost I was 100% convinced he was running as a joke and doing everything he could to help Hillary.

Companies eventually get so big and powerful they only care about companies.

As much as I hate Apple/OoS and I do truly hate Apple… Adobe is the worst company on earth.

Easiest way to explain it is that Apple and Microsoft exist just to steal all your money Adobe not only wants to steal all your money but they wanted take it all then make you pay so they can lazily explain why they took your money. HP is in the corner breaking all your furniture so they can charge you a fee to fix it and put Microsoft, apple and Adobe trash on it.
