241·2 years agoThey specify in the study that the participants were “non-expert poetry readers.” I’d be interested to see the same experiment repeated with English professors, or even just English majors. Folks with a lot of experience reading poetry. With exposure to its history, its notable works, and its different styles.

Just have someone ask him what kind of ‘nasty things he thinks democrats use the internet for.’ He’ll start rattling off things that are way too specific and definitely projection.
On my phone, I just access YouTube through the firefox browser app with ublock origin installed. Works perfectly.

7·2 years agoVanguard recently started offering a savings account that currently has a 4.15% APY (their ‘cash plus’ account).
If OP wants to park the money in a savings account for easier access than a mutual fund, that’s both a more reliable institution and a better rate.
Maybe a really nice edition of a book you already love, from a luxury publisher like The Folio Society or Easton Press?
