Unfortunately true. They sell more to people who do less. There’s no shame in owning a big van that can do the same things but still service a family.

It also barely works. The most obvious other witch would be Gilda and she was a good witch. I know that there were 4 witches and two were evil but the people that get the joke are likely going to think of Gilda first so it’s kinda a stretch.

My main issue with the Cybertruck (before Elon revealed himself to be a total ass) was that ITS NOT A TRUCK. How can you call it a truck without a truck bed?

The exact opposite of what Aaron Swartz would have envisioned for the site.

One of the first toys I remember having was a small model of the Enterprise D with little shuttles that you could land in the shuttle bay. One of my earliest memories is cuddling with my dad and watching TNG. While I’m not proud of it, I once threw a fit at the planetarium because we were going to miss TNG if we stayed. I saw every TNG movie in theaters with my dad.
This feels like a loss of a family member.

The answer is obvious.
Goat Milk Soap.

The mods lost the final war with admin back when they tried to fight the API change in my opinion. They had been clearing out the old guard even before that but if you have even semi popular subs that you moderate and they can find a reason to out you with a new loyalist mod that ‘knows their place’ they will.
It hasn’t been the front page of the internet for a long time.

You know…that’s fair. I can see Musk trying to take Meta. or Google.

It’s Saudi Arabia. They’re basically in the dark ages with the oil money to buy modern infrastructure. It’s an absolute monarchy, You get the death penalty for being any flavor of queer, It’s a surveillance state. They literally sent a kill squad into a foreign nation to (successfully) brutally murder a journalist. We don’t hear it much because of all the other constant noise in the digital world but they’re not good people. Everyone turns a blind eye because they have that sweet sweet oil and since like the 70s the US has been on it’s knees for them.
Don’t get me wrong here. It’s a very nice looking place but it’s built on some of the most terrible human rights abuses you can name.
They have almost open slavery. It’s not a good place. The fact that they were allowed to buy EA at all is a problem.

It will happen. I was browsing this while logged out and can’t respond to the person I would like to because they’re invisible to me. The thing about bailouts is that they will likely go to the big dogs and not the actual AI companies. Microsoft, Meta, Google, NVIDIA, Amazon… They’ll get bailed out. OpenAI and Anthropic will get consumed/sold off. We’ll likely see a bidding war for their assets because while they are over valued, they are not without value, and since most of us believe all of this is a push is for cloud computing I would bet. The bubble pop will be consolidation and a push for more cloud-based saas infrastructure.
My opinion has been that all this AI bubble noise has basically just been the R&D phase of a larger rollout. I would be concerned with which company ends up with those assets because that will be a big indicator of future plans in the sector.

I can’t.
I believe what I said, but I’m not following the Chinese market in any serious way. One of my comment edits was to disclose that but I choose the more basic statement. I’m fully willing to be wrong when presented with data. I felt that removing my own hedge allowed comments like yours to more directly challenge the statement.
I’m in the middle of studying for a mid term. I don’t want to use the energy to dig into it. I got my stance mostly from articles I’ve read in passing on how they have regulated their AI market to protect workers and manage circular investing. It could easily have been propaganda.

can you clarify what energy the US is exporting?

My first thought as well. Though I get why he choked. There’s something icky about sleeping with a person that you know is essentially a child socially. Even if they’re way smarter and more technically knowledgeable than you in every way.

China has been taking steps to keep it’s AI industry in check. They’ll be fine. Their bubble pop is essentially a market adjustment. We all just get bent out of shape because of how big these numbers have gotten over the last few decades. The important thing is that the Chinese government took steps to protect it’s other sectors which is why we likely saw their bubble pop before ours.

do you think there’s a emergency psychiatric hologram or would it just be chatgpt feeding into your delusions while wearing your therapist’s face?

In civilized society, It doesn’t matter how a person is being an asshole. It’s still an assault charge to the first person that gets physical. There is no context worth discussing beyond Russia invaded Ukraine. This is a war of Russian aggression. period. End of discussion. Anyone saying otherwise is speaking with an agenda.

and somehow these Russian bots think this is a gotcha that justifies invading and annexing land from a sovereign nation. It’s really simple bud. When you take land that isn’t yours, you’re the asshole. There’s no grace for the aggressor.
It’s not just the library. I’ve been doing a lot of the stuff I did two decades ago as a teenager. Thrift stores, Half-priced books, the library, the mall. As a chronically online person, I can’t explain the exact feeling of it. It’s somehow both less and more. The internet was this amazing grand archive and forum. It was everything, but now most of everything has been stolen and sold off.
Edit: but yeah check out your local library. It likely has an events calendar online that you can browser for reasons to go.

I’m of the general opinion that it’s when a company decides to go public and issue stock is when it’s lost. Once a company’s governance is beholden to stockholders and the board of directors it becomes only a matter of time before it’s garbage.
welp. here I stand. corrected.
