I think “destiny is already dead” would be more accurate. I’ve introduced players to the game across multiple eras of destiny and it’s only gotten harder. Last one they asked what to do next and I just said “fuck if I know, what’s the map say?”

For a game that is increasingly inaccessible to new players, the only thing to do is fall off, and the monthly player count reflects that. It could maybe be saved if they un-vaulted everything and stopped monitizing the fuck out of it, but even then it’s lost too much blood.

Dismantling them would require somehow introducing a vote to abolish the hoa, and a lot of people involved in hoas are ancient NIMBYs that have nothing better to do after retirement that be in other people’s business. The purpose of an HOA is to ostensibly preserve property values, and only homeowners are allowed to vote, not any poor suckers that are renting and actually living there.

Know someone who got married by a lake on public land. Cost was basically a dj and catering for 30ish people. We did ours in a butterfly garden with a friend as the officiant and the total cost was a thrifted dress and tickets for the garden. 10/10 would recommend.

I’m not sure this works how you think it works. Military members aren’t prohibited from owning guns, they just have to store them and check them out to go shoot. There’s been plenty of shootings on military bases with personal firearms because unless you fully search every car coming in, you won’t stop someone from bringing one in.

If idiots are carrying around off duty it’s more likely to cause a drunken bar shooting than a fragging incident.
