1·8 days agoSo basically another Carrington Event. Which is actually not impossible, and nobody knows what would happen if a geomagnetic storm of that size would occur today.

4·29 days agoThis used to be so common with installers in the past. Sometimes you had to click a button to show it. But I don’t really see it anymore

2·1 month agoThat sounds even more terrifying.

10·1 month agoI recently did a first aid workshop. It’s nice to learn the skills for first aid and cpr, but I was a bit terrified by the fact that all the participants will actually get a first aid certificate.

Patient Gamers@sh.itjust.works•If every video game was to be destroyed but you had the chance to save five games, what would you choose to save?English
1·2 months agoYeah, I’ve seen so many games drawing inspiration (or even very closely copying) slay the spire. Just shows how good it really is.

1·2 months agoI have a feeling that this is also influenced by people that experienced (emotional) trauma. Some people dissociate from their feelings as a result of things that happened in the past, and this can also impact their ability to visualise things. (Because their brain is protecting them from re-experiencing their trauma)

2·2 months agoWasn’t Slay the spire released in 2019? Great choice though, there is also a multiplayer mod which works suprisingly well
Inscryption is really a good showcase of what makes games fun, and packed with so many things to discover and hidden things.

1·2 months agoGod hand, what a wonderful choice! Nothing really comes close to the ass-slapping action of that title. And the clunky controls actually make it feel more fun and unique.
I also experience little to no internal dialog, and have no issues sleeping. But I’m still stressed. Usually I’m unaware, but its more of a feeling than a thought.
This is quite interesting. Thanks for sharing.
Castlevania: Harmony of Despair
Is it like a coop castlevania game then? Sounds great!
I’m horrible with names, so I could probably play it through again like new, haha
I’m thinking to wait 15 years and then replay it. Maybe I’ll have forgotten enough by then.
(I didn’t play echoes yet so I still have that going for me)
Guild wars 2 was magical during the beta. It felt so different than anything else at the time
Im doing this now. Playing on vidyascape and going through all the quests :)

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What do you get when you combine the last two books you read?English
1·2 months agoFor some reason I’m unable to do so, but I could have a look at what books I recently read and have a okish recollection of their contents. Maybe my memory is just bad.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What do you get when you combine the last two books you read?English
1·2 months agoWell, that’s kinda sad. I read quite a bit though. some months I’ll read 5 books, other months only 1. I suppose that’s already quite a lot.
I think the problem with not remembering might be something personal, my memory tends te be very selective.

Maybe something like radicle?
