Bobs from Office Space: “What would YOU say you DO here?”
Beware it will not last like a factory made DVD or Bluray. Home burned optical media is more volatile, so not a great solution for decades-long backups.
Hippie vibes
Email is like IRC, outdated and inherently insecure, and awesome and I still use it knowing that. It’s insane that everything started using email for real government and business shit to begin with. You can’t ‘secure’ it as it is, even with this endpipe cosigning crap. I say just avoid email for sensitive comms altogether, treat it like the public mailbox it is, like IRC
[edit: or this!]
True, sacrifices on the altar of the God Sysadmin, and their divine mount Er’orreport
I started nearly 30 years ago and cannot count the dead systems I have left in my wake. Just on the 2000-ish thing where Dell first offered Linux but it was inherently unstable after booting the pre-written disk image if you touched it, alone… So many kernel sanity failures…
Probably Linux Mint. If you have a hardware support issue on Mint, Fedora.
Yup. Manson was also MK Ultra. They allowed him to move between counties in CA while on parole (not a thing at the time) and his “parole officer” wasn’t a parole officer, but a UC system researcher whose field was the use of drugs in meth gangs to turn people violent. The whole Manson family was an orchestrated op to undermine the left.
Bright side, they dgaf what voters think, Liz Cheney thinks they’re cool now!
I own my own email domain and it’s gotten EXPENSIVE (and I intentionally picked what was a low quality tld at the time). Domain costs just go insanely up for no reason other than the older a domain is the more invested in keeping it you probably are. Just something to consider.
As a n00b I’d go Mint, unless you have hardware concerns in which case Fedora is the only option these days (Ubuntu is bad now). I have used Linux since 1996 and would not dualboot in 2025. Microsoft will fuck your shit. Just roll with two boxes.
Yeah, I heard that. Part of why I assume they’re a honeypot. Not that I didn’t use them before requiring accounts. If you tor to a honeypot with best practices, good luck tracking…
If the link is never exposed, how does your seedbox see it without an account? And are you x remote desktopping Firefox from your seedbox? i’m confused…
Last time I tried YTS they wouldn’t show magnet links anymore without you making an account (and during downtime they show IIS.NET errors, which is a pretty clear indication a large corporation is hiring contractors to run it) which seems VERY sketchy put together
I really question these numbers. I’m old enough I remember when restaurants had picture menus. In a society where you need to internet on your phone for EVERYTHING, I am deeply skeptical that 1/5 adults is picture menu at McDonalds in 1980-level illiterate.
Yeah, who is going to shell out $60k/year once the fig leaf of “world class facilities” is removed?
You’re only six days old, just join a different instance. Blahaj’s mods are suboptimal anyway.
Purely from his autism, I’m sure
Based on Luigi it seems more an effort at propaganda than profit. It wasn’t loss of interest that ended the infinite sea of Luigi pieces, it was the fact that the public was on his side and was unmoved by their attempt to Emmanual Goldstein him, so they put the story down the memory hole as that was the best they could do to serve their overlords.
