…wait out the president before making any long term decisions…

My employer just raised the price of everything thing it sales by 1.5% regardless of it was affected by tariffs or not, I mean everything. They basically said “f it spread it out to everyone” and moved on.
They aren’t going to move a multi billion dollar factory for a temporary president on his second term. They plan to sit and wait.
I outwardly goaned. I hate Mustard 6:7, like what even does that mean?
We don’t get sandwich 6:9 enough, but it has so many layers
Then give up and don’t have kids and ensure that their similarly thinking offspring have a better chance of continuing the cycle.
And let them win?
This is the line of thinking that leads to Idiocracy

Because dish and cable still operate in the same way they have for 70 years and a lot of people like it that way. They like that their favorite show comes on at 6pm every Thursday and dish/cable see no reason to offer anything different. It does cost money to create and maintain a system for you to do that and the people who still use dish/cable would most likely not use it.
Unless there have been some changes, dish technology hasn’t changed a lot in 30 years because it costs a lot of money to send up new satellites. For the most part the business for cable hasn’t changed a lot because cable just provides the service not the content.
Streaming on the other hand could do this easily and I think Amazon or Netflix experimented with it but no one really used it.

Not really any different than just leaving the TV on if that’s what you mean.
You motherboard will come with AI and will have to be connected to the Internet like game consoles so they can mine your data and push ads to you!
Laughs in evil corporate AI!

I read, “If they don’t comply I’m going to hurt the American people again”

Tech #1 - Do you see the wire I’m wiggling?
Tech #2 - The blue one?
Tech #1 - Yes try tugging on it
Tech #2 - Ok…anything?
Tech #1 - Nope try the other blue one
This goes on until they found the right blue wire…for another 20min

Just wait until a luxury cruise liner hits it and and gets shit everywhere then they might clean it up.
Like Titanic except they will wish that the ship went down when they are covered in literal months old rancid fat.

I think the Jan 6 attack was a better case to justify the Insurrection Act, since you know they actually violently forced their way into a government building with malice intent.
Minneapolis is mostly protesting and peaceful noncompliance. I haven’t heard anything about riots or attacks carried out on law enforcement.
Well because mica will get on the robot. Duh
In my opinion their Chalupa or Gordita are the best things on the menu. PSA - they don’t resemble true Mexican food of the same name at all.
But I never feel good about going to Taco Bell afterwards. I only sometimes stop there if I’m traveling and my choice is limited to McDonald’s or Taco Bell

Outside of work I definitely would. I can’t say I would at work, depends on the mood I’m in and if I’m willing to take a verbal beating when I get home for losing my job when I’ve got mouth’s to feed.
WTF! Did you sneak into my house?

It’s interesting that all other law enforcement have to identify themselves if they aren’t undercover. So why is ICE the only agency that can or feel the need to hide their identities?
It’s like they know they’re doing something they shouldn’t and are ashamed.

Fear is what’s going to make them stop acting like thugs, they don’t fear the consequences of their actions. The person giving them orders don’t fear the consequences. Learning hip toss or judo chop isn’t going to stop a group of fearless thugs.
But you’re right. If reason is lost and the people that are sworn to protect do nothing then logically that is the next step, it’s sort of written into the Constitution and Amendments because our founders dealt with this sort of thing and the abuse of power.

It’s not really that hard with my son 13, I monitor what he’s doing discreetly using apps and just listening to what he’s doing. I make sure to explain to him what I find acceptable and I give him space and freedom to make mistakes but I’m also clear about the consequences. I don’t let him out of sight or ear shot.
My daughter 5 on the other hand is much tougher, she likes to watch slop and I have to limit it block shows or apps that have “free streaming” because the garbage is everywhere. She doesn’t understand or know the difference, she doesn’t see the overt government or corporate propaganda and low effort quality, she just sees bright colors and happy cartoons and signing. Here’s hoping my efforts aren’t for not.
Otherwise, just keep them off the black hole that is social media (Facebook/Instagram/tweeter and their clones) because there’s nothing good or redeemable there, limit YouTube and similar sites, take part in their lives while also giving the space to make decisions, don’t completely cut out AI but encourage creativeness using all of the tools available to them, encourage quality over quantity, instill healthy values, be flexible, and treat them like young humans. Treating them like young humans also means setting boundaries, being firm, standing your ground and being consistent. They’re humans not flowers. The values part is probably the hardest part to impart because what everyone themselves value doesn’t necessarily mean the same thing to everyone else and life is full of contradictions so they need to be able to decide who/what/when/where is the right choice and completely denying everything will blow up in your or their faces.
The values we teach them as parents is what will allow them to decide when is the right time to allow AI content as something acceptable and give them the knowledge for how to use it to their advantage. AI isn’t going away so don’t run away from it, but that doesn’t mean we have to accept the shit corporations are cramming down our throats or allow it to run our lives and raise our kids.
It’s a long war and a lot of people give up or declare victory too soon. Never give up, never surrender, because one day you will be old and AI will be running your life support machines and I hope someone’s lazy kid didn’t half ass train it because they grew up watching Cocomelon.
Most likely they will turn the 1.5% into cost so that corporate can still reap the extra revenue without giving the division any revenue credit. So not just screwing the customer but also their own internal business and employees that get bonuses from sales.
