The technology definitely still needs to be worked on, as it is, but I trust autopilot more than I trust the average commuter I have to deal with. And I deal with a lot.
Do people go around looking for Swastikas in stuff? Even if I was a conspiracy theorist, an X is still an X. Especially when it’s not even a symmetrical X, you’re really pulling at strings I think.
The hypocrisy is real
I’m starting to think Spez is a masochist
Coming from the professional/enterprise side of things, docks have been a PITA for a few years. Especially thanks to Apple Silicon and their entirely different set of protocols and standards we now have a hard time finding any reliable docks on the market. For a period of time the only serious considerations required the use of DisplayLink software (including the dock I currently run from Startech) but they all have periodic and random issues. There are some decent options on the market now, mainly from Kingston, but they still don’t easily support 3+ displays and we aren’t comfortable enough to roll them out to the whole company until Kingston handles some current issues. Peripheral hubs are the bane of any laptop-only workforce.
This one gives me the ick, like if I eat it I’ll be consuming my own existence…
We always keep an eye out for Switch games for this exact reason. Our favorites from there are Animal Crossing and Luigi’s Mansion.
Typical average consumer does not care as long as they get to keep using the product. That’s likely the majority of Apple users, it’ll take a replacement (like this one) getting popular enough for them to notice and try it, otherwise on Reddit they’ll stay till death.
So active users doesn’t include users who are only browsing/voting on posts? If so that’s even more impressive.
Yeah I just found out about this project/the fediverse, been looking for several weeks for the best replacement to Reddit and this is by far the most promising. Also, as a self-hosting enthusiast, I’m liking this place more and more by the minute. With any luck increased visibility will continue to push activity & content. Power to the people.
Nah Lemmy is definitely worse than the majority of social media platforms rn. There’s blatant posts of the exact same thing in the exact same communities by different users hours apart with hundreds of upvotes each so I literally can’t go 3 posts in the All feed without seeing his stupid face and it’s gotten to the point where I’m just downvoting people for low effort. I don’t fucking care about some guys mug shot to need to be informed a hundred times, if you’re gonna make jokes at least put effort into it
