About 20 years ago a friends dad saw potential in Linux and bought us one of those fat learn linux books with a cd on it. We read a little, tried installing it, but all we wanted to really do is play Age of Empires (so we reverted to Win xp)

Now im diving in and learning linux hands on again for fun, 4/6 computers are now converted.

I never had issues on windows 11, but fuck that noise.

Ive since moved CachyOS, I’ve put in 30-60 mins a week fixing or setting up things. The recent was a random “a wedged CEF cache in the Steam client”. Im happy to pay it and i learn more of a system im part of. Im in awe of all the work already done in linux.

Returning to Linux reminded me that devs/tech people have a good sense of humour. Like the old days.

Gave me a chuckle that pacman launches pacmen(?) to nomnom for progress. Love it.
