Google botnet at that. Smells like paid advertising…
I’m trying not to be stupid.
I’m not a robot.
Google botnet at that. Smells like paid advertising…
This is a very appealing line for me to hear. I will be digging into this to see how impossible the gate of entry is
Supposedly yes, but I spent weeks asking people in the community and no one could verify so I’m holding off for now
This sounds like something that could takeoff pretty quick, but as someone new to the nostr concept, I’m nervous at how complicated setup/maintenance will be. Are there any tutorials for these things?
Where could I find a list of services that use CF and it’s dangers?
I’ve been looking to go back and see if any people actually use xmpp, this seems most opportune. What were the true cyberpunks using before this, though?
Why no simplex? I thought I heard ppl trying to host their own simplex?
Ohhh that makes sense. This is what i was missing. Thanks for helping my autism
This was quite concise and helpful, thanks
Okay, I’m learning, but still feel I’m missing something. I understand what you meant about being able to sub to any community on any server. The problem I’m encountering now is that there are a few non-monero communities I’m subbed too, but it doesn’t display any of their posts or anything when I go to them through monerotown. If I go to their direct link I no longer have a login…maybe reddit is a necessary simplicity and convenience for smoothbrains like me…
This is still ambiguous to me but only because I don’t understand this new definition of ‘federating’. For example, I’ve gone to a few other lemmy instances and tried logging in with the same user/pass to no avail. Is this because they’ve already ‘defederated’ us or because we were never ‘federated’ to begin with?
I found it when it was made cuz I am monero fangirl
real talk, it was mentioned a few times in a few of the [matrix] servers using the oh-so-mainstream element client, but because reddit seems to be actually hyperdecaying, I’m considering editing all my past reddit posts with the same message(tough to decide what histories/info are worth keeping on a tencent compromised webservice atm). There’s a tool that lets you mass edit your reddit post history whilst omitting the posts you made in more practical subreddits too. I think this is what I used: https://github.com/j0be/PowerDeleteSuite
I’m also omega new to the whole idea of a ‘fediverse’ as a concept and find it overwhelming. I still can’t figure out wtf pleroma and mastodon even are, much less sign up for them lool
I fully respect the sentiment of this post. Baseless name-calling is definitely counterproductive, but he didn’t really approach with a positive attitude either, right? I absolutely agree with you on most of your points here ethically, but would like to inquire about the intentions involved here, considering the circumstances.
It’s certainly rude and precisely good fun to call someone a glowie–It’s also not an honest argument, right? No need for treating it that way either, right? Calling a codebase shitty without explaining any logic or further premises beyond “I worked on a monero-fork bro, trust me; monero is honeypot–if you can’t discern that from auditing the code, then you are 0 iq pleb not worth the time” is also the epitome of deceit b/c you can say that about most codebases ffs.
Idk, maybe jeff(if we can even assume it’s the real jeff that the crypto fam is familiar with) has laid out his arguments and critiques better elsewhere and just intentionally chose a tragic post to say “I told you so” in the worst-spirited form possible(0 empathy and respect for the post being commented on), but I have doubts because he also refused to meet anyone halfway with the slightest shred of evidence or logic
Yeah, I don’t WANT to agree with all this loaded negativity, but “go audit the codebase; you’ll notice it’s a honeypot” is the definition of a nonargument. He had every chance to be more specific than that, and instead chose to just make more unsubstantiated claims and emotionally charged rhetoric.
Hint: No one in an honest position of power and goodwill reacts this way folks. Feds also rarely have goodwill in their heart and some glow in the dark🤣
Am having time of my life(reminds me of my first thrilling days discovering great communities on Reddit) with a hint of nostalgia.
Can confirm broken comment link too
Damn, I’m also this level of addicted… Dns block seems like a good idea afterall
This seems extreme? Is it something we all should do?
As someone who only shallowly understands pgp, could you explain why you posted this? Should we all do it to verify our authenticity?
The Rexidus
Is this actually what the historians will call it?
