The Adams family have always been very tone-deaf about how many people support their hoarding the Oilers IP. Yes, it’s perfectly legal, but the only reason Bud’s baby meant anything or was a going concern was due to fans in Houston. The NFL should have forced them to transfer the history and trademarks ala the Browns. If pro sports aren’t going to go away from the franchise model (and they aren’t), then IP should be put on hiatus until and unless the old city gets another team.
