In 2025, Alexandrovich was arrested along with seven others in Nevada as part of a sting operation targeting child sex predators.[1] He was charged with attempting to lure a child for a sex act, a felony which carries a sentence of up to 10 years in prison.[12] He was granted a $10,000 bail and subsequently allowed to return to Israel despite awaiting trial and his lack of diplomatic immunity.[9][13][14][15] He returned to Israel and was placed on leave from the directorate. He had been attending the Black Hat computer security conference.[9][12]
