    My picks:

    • Although my brain overwhelming knows Notre Dame will win, I’m going to go with my heart and say [Navy]. Anyone who says otherwise hates America!
    • The real [USC] will win at the Coliseum. Let’s see if Caleb Williams is going to get a second Heisman.
    • As a secondary fan of UTSA, I’m rooting for [JSU]. The true Gamecocks!
    • [New Mexico State].
    • Although Vanderbilt will win, [Hawaii] is my pick. It would be huge for them to upset an SEC team on the road.
    • [LA Tech].

      Notre Dame does get to mitigate some of the problem with playing a service academy since it’s the first week so they can spend more time preparing for them specifically. I’d expect Notre Dame to win but maybe the jet lag and knocking off the rust will give Navy a chance.
