As we approach the best time of the year, I just wanted to inform everyone of a federation issue between this instance and one of the most popular instances out there. Fanaticus and lemmy.world do not seem to federating correctly which likely will cause a significant number of active Lemmy users to not be able to interact with the communities on Fanaticus and vice versa. Basically, our view of their community is stuck in the past and we will not get to see new posts and comments, and they will not be able to see new posts or comments on Fanaticus.

The users on their sports communities seem pretty active recently, so it is unfortunate that most of them will be unable to see and interact with us. I am still hopeful that we can grow and become more active with the start of the season. Our admin is aware of this issue and is in communication with the lemmy.world mods to see if this issue can be resolved but as far as I know we do not have a timeline for resolution yet.

As always, please let me know what ideas you have that you want to see implemented in this community. I’m also still looking for mods for this community and all of the individual team communities.
