Seems to be pretty close. As an outsider the world seems to be seeing trump trample the constitution by going around the 3 equal branches provision and attacking government departments directly.
He seems to be using DOGE to simply cripple any Congress approved spending he disagrees with. And the other branchs really do not seem willing or able to limit his power in time.
This really looks more like a lead up to civil war/hostile take over then politics as usual.
