I’m sure someone is working on filing a legal challenge. Thereafter everyone will need several years to collate evidence, then getting everyone in a room can be tough, and then there might be appeals.
In as little as 7 or 8 short years we could have an answer as to whether or not this petition was allowed to take place.

While I get the cynicism, it’s not like there are no means to stall a possibly illegal practice until a proper ruling has been done. The judicative branch isn’t entirely toothless and isn’t ignorant of the reality of time-sensitivity.
Tell that to the guys who got deported to El Salvador when the federal judge ordered the planes to turn around mid-flight.

You’re right, but sadly in recent years I’ve just lost all faith that any kind of timely intervention will be implemented.
The Supreme Court said as much of the President, which is basically Elon.
Nothing will be done because the voters don’t seem to want anything done.
