Maryland Sen. Chris Van Hollen says he has met with Kilmar Abrego Garcia, who immigration officials say was deported by error, in El Salvador on Thursday.

The senator shared a photo with Abrego Garcia at what appears to be a restaurant.

“I said my main goal of this trip was to meet with Kilmar,” Sen. Van Hollen said. “Tonight I had that chance. I have called his wife, Jennifer, to pass along his message of love. I look forward to providing a full update upon my return.”

None of this makes any sense.

I still believe that man is dead.

    America has fallen to Nazis.

He’s confirmed alive, but that doesn’t mean they haven’t killed others, or that they won’t reach that point as time goes on. The Nazis didn’t start mass executions right away, but once you were in their camps, you probably weren’t getting out alive.

        He’s confirmed alive

Unless Van Hollen brought back fingerprints or a DNA sample, or the family got to talk to the guy on the phone and confirm it was him, I have to keep open the possibility that Bukele put in an imposter.

I mean you can believe whatever you want but that’s verging into conspiracy theory stuff if you ask me.

There is literally a conspiracy happening between the trump admin and bukele. Like literally secret meetings to discuss and plan criminal acts and keep them from scrutiny

Is there any possible evidence that would falsify the claim that he’s dead?

It sounds a lot like other conspiracy theories where people assume a fact and then evidence comes out that contradict that assumption and they come up with all sorts of explanations to avoid changing their mind and insisting that they were right all along. Even if Van Hollen returned with fingerprints and DNA, maybe he’s in on it too.

Even if they’re carrying out mass executions, it’s not hard to believe that they simply didn’t get to this guy yet. Maybe his name started to get publicity and they made sure to keep him alive. Those seem a lot more reasonable than this “body double” stuff.

There’s a difference between calling someone delusional and accusing them of believing there’s a conspiracy. There is literally a conspiracy. But the commenter may be delusional.
