Hints as to why the Giants passed on Shedeur Sanders are starting to trickle out.

In a podcast appearance Thursday night, The Ringer’s Todd McShay revealed that Giants brass didn’t get the best pre-draft impression from Sanders.

“Shedeur didn’t have a great interview with Brian Daboll in a private visit,” McShay said.

“An install package came in. Preparation wasn’t there for it. [He] got called out on it. Didn’t like that. Brian didn’t appreciate him not liking it.”

NFL sources had similar sentiment for The Post’s Ryan Dunleavy after Round 1.

“Sanders’ slip is attributable to both flaws in his game and the brash attitude he displayed during the pre-draft process,” Dunleavy reported.

Yes exactly. it’s a test to see if he can grasp concepts quickly and how he’d respond in game situations that a coach throws at him. I think it shows how unresponsive to coaching he is. That’s a bad bad sign.
