China always plays the long game and have backup plans for their backup plans. Something western government either don’t or refuse to understand. Like the whole chip ban thing with ASML and Nexperia, initiated by the Dutch government as they are so far up Trump’s anus that they can lick his tonsils - especially ‘Daddy’ Rutte. The Nexperia thing spectacularly backfired in that China is now producing these chips in China instead of the Netherlands.
Meanwhile for example Xiaomi released their new flagship phone, Xiaomi 18 and it uses their own Ring O3 3nm which has the highest antutu score.
People in general completely underestimate the tenacity of the Chinese people. They will just shrug their shoulders at all the nonsense and get on with building their own ecosystem as they are forced to by the west. And than the west has the gull to complain that China is developing and innovating. Hypocrites.
It’s a simple consequence of the short term politics of the West, when every politician is gunning for the next election in 4 years, there’s no room to care for a project that might take 10 or more years to complete, as that will just become someone else’s merit down the line. On top of that, current late stage capitalism works under the necessity of perpetual growth numbers, the line must go up today, regardless of tomorrow’s problem. CEOs and top directors are all short sighted, as the market screams for immediate and fast results, the top brass is forced to use the one strategy that works short term: cutting costs. Which works, but will inevitably cause a collapse in the future. The western world can’t plan beyond the next couple of years, while China, due to its State Planned Capitalistic System, is thinking 10, 20 years into the future. 20 years ago they had already set their sights on a future in the 2050s. The Western Empires have reached the final stage of an empire, where internal corruption is rampant, people see only the bleak future ahead, national pride is dying, and far right politics are rising through a “blame the other” for our downfall strategy.
