Instead of holding those in power accountable for their attacks on minority groups, many in the press corps will happily join in on the attacks.

The question is who suffers the severe consequences. It will not the rich and powerful who are stirring up all this hatred.

We have to understand that we’re witnessing persecution of minorities by a fascist state, the same thing people saw in Nazi Germany. And we need to organize to defend trans people and the other persecuted groups, if we want the outcome to be any better than it was under Nazism first time around. We all need to consider this our duty and not leave it for others to sort out.

Leave kids alone means don’t deny them medical treatment just because it squicks you out. Leave kids alone does not mean conversion therapy to make them afraid to exist as a trans person.

Take your “perverse crap” complaints to the right wing child rapists. There’s lots to choose from.

The bastards in power haven’t received any consequences for raping children, why do you think this would be a hard line for anyone?

Americans have shown again, and again, and again, and again that they do not value children’s live’s in the slightest.

Going after children will always be a hard red line you can not cross without severe consequence.

You mean like forcing them to read the Bible in school?

      https://www.pbs.org/newshour/nation/how-schools-in-oklahoma-are-responding-to-a-new-bible-mandate

Oh no wait, you must mean teaching them that slavery wasn’t as bad as people think it was.

      https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/new-florida-standards-teach-black-people-benefited-slavery-taught-usef-rcna95418

Or wait, you meant the school outing kids to their parents, right?

Agreed! The government should not be legislating whether or not my kids should be getting medically necessary care, to include hormone therapy!

Also, it’s really weird to care so much about children’s genitals.
